Where We’re Strong

  • We use multiple assessment tools (WIDA, NMMSSA, iMSSA) to track growth and make instructional decisions.

  • Our data gives teachers a clear picture of student progress throughout the year.

  • Adaptive assessments help us better understand each student’s ability level.

Where We Need to Grow

  • Some assessments don’t fully measure the academic strengths of English Learners due to language barriers.

  • Students may understand the content but struggle to show their knowledge on English-heavy tests.

  • We need better tools and strategies for connecting language development with academic subjects.

Our Academic Goals

Goal 1 – Reading/English Language Arts

  • Current Proficiency: 22%

  • Target: 26%

Goal 2 – Math

  • Current Proficiency: 20%

  • Target: 24%

We measure progress using tools such as WIDA, iStation, iMSSA, NMMSSA, and classroom benchmarks.

How We Plan to Support Students

We are focusing on:

  • Data-driven instruction: Teachers use assessment results to adjust lessons.

  • School-wide growth goals: We aim for a 15% increase in proficiency schoolwide.

  • “Mt. Mesa” progress tracking: Students and families can see growth from the beginning, middle, and end of the year.

  • Positive study habits (PHD program).

  • SOAR parent communication: Sharing updates, missing work, and support strategies.

  • CTE classes: Integrating reading, writing, math, and science into hands-on career pathways.

  • Standards-based grading: Clear expectations and consistent feedback in every class.

Family & Community Partnership

  • Title I Annual Meeting: February 12, 2026

  • Communication Methods: Flyers, email, website, social media, phone calls, and text messages

Monitoring Student Progress

  • We review data approximately every 30 days (8/29, 10/31, 12/19).

  • A stakeholder team of teachers, administrators, and parents meets twice a year to review progress and plan next steps.

  • Mid-year adjustments happen through our spring improvement plan.

  • The end-of-year evaluation is completed in May.
